A Toss Up

Incorporating healthy decision-making skills into our daily activities for some can be a toss up. There is so much buzz around how to evolve as a healthy eater. One popular choice is adding some more green into your day. And no I am not talking about money in particular but leafy greens.
Organic leafy greens are nutrient packed superhero edibles. These greens should take up much of your plate of choice: dinner, lunch or breakfast. However, many of my friends are currently drinking these beautiful greens in the form of green smoothies. What a toss up! Is it more beneficial to eat them or drink them? The answer is YES. As long as these greens make it into your body on a daily basis you will not only feel energetic, happy and healthy but also you will be answering a very trendy question as to how to incorporate healthy decision making skills into your day-to-day activities.

Broccoli is one of my favorite leafy greens and I invite you to follow the Guide to A Healthy Kitchen to make your choice on leafy greens if necessary. Certain types of cancer weaken the body by over-activating the immune system. Selenium, the compound found in broccoli and garlic, reverses this effect on the immune system and could potentially improve the treatment of these cancers.
I encourage you this year to GO green!
