Cielè rolled over in bed, releasing a delightful yawn and stretched her limbs. Enjoying the satisfying feeling of her tendons and muscles stretching to say "g o o d morning." Smiling, she chuckled, reminiscing over her rendezvous the day prior.

ree

Fluttering her eyes open she peered over at the digital alarm clock, oof quarter past 7. She looked around her bedroom. Her eyes adjusting to the golden warmth flooding her skylight. Candles still flickering, a warm emboss of dragon fruit still lingered. Lowering her arms from the headboard she splayed them out on both sides of her body. Hm.

ree

Mindful of the lushness of the blanket under her fingers, enjoying the heat emanating out from the palms of her hands as the sun's rays continued its ascent to highlight the entire bedroom. Sunday morning brunch to prepare. she rolled onto her right side. Mm. A sudden coolness tickled the side of her face as she gazed into the corridor.

The steam from the bathroom was escaping from under the door… the song of the birds brought her back to the present moment. sounds peaceful, serene, almost serenading. How am I this lucky? she thought to herself.

… Okay this salmon looks fresh, now where is the dill? Mmm.... where is the... ah! There it is. Perfect, moving right along. need some cheese, assorted fruits, milk, peanut butter… scanning quickly down her list. she was....mentally all over the grocery store simultaneously.

ree

Productive...? Who knows she muttered to herself? Okay now. Rice, aisle 8. The crank of the grocery cart echoed in her ears as she scrambled to aisle 8. Goodness it is so hot in here. what time is it?? she glanced down to check her phone. Okay aisle 6..7 ah. here we go. Now where is the rice pilaf? Hm… excuse moi madam? Cielè spun around to say oui. Oui? Moi monsieur? She heard herself reply. Oui madam puid-je vous aider? Non, merci she replied and turned back around. Okay. she shook her head. back to the cabbage. Okay now... spinach, kale, collard greens, lettuce ..ah! Here we are the rice pilaf. She ran her hands through her voluminous burgundy hair twice and went to

check her grocery list. Okay now Self-love aisle 2, okay. jealously aisle 8, empathy aisle 10 right near the carrots. Okay. shouldn’t be this hard.

ree

Okay lets double check the labels, hmmm where was she. Self-criticism aisle 4. 32 g of cortisol?? well that is way too much. She continued perusing… empathy aisle 10, 34 g of mindfulness hm, she checked her aura… hm, her solar plexus was glowing. sparks flying like fireworks. swirls of colors bellowing out from her. She felt a warmth in the pit of her stomach. Tears started rolling down her cheeks. The sound of drums began beating around her, the light in the grocery store was glowing brighter and brighter. She raised the back of her hand to cover her eyes. The white light. almost blinding. Drums were getting louder and louder. She frantically covered her ears. She opened her mouth and screamed TURN IT OFF. TURN IT OFF. TURN IT.

ree

Cielè woke up in a start. She grabbed her ears… panting softly she lowered her left hand and placed it on her chest. My goodness, what a dream. She shook her head and slowly slid back down into bed.

She closed her eyes momentarily. She took in a whiff of a perfumed aroma encasing her. oooo….. now what is that delicious smell? She glanced to her left and opened her eyes. A yellow and red rose delicately and proudly beamed at her. Along with a note. I. Love. You. See you Tonight.

ree

Smiling. She clutched the note and placed it on her heart. She opened her drawer and pulled out her planner. February 1st.

Quote of the day. You have the ability to love yourself, now go. Go enjoy the fruits of your ability to love others unconditionally. -Unknown

....How am I this lucky she thought to herself…
