Shhh… So Steamy.

Guys. My personal experience recovering from acquiring (ah) the noted SARS virus. A virus that impacted the country. The world. We all recovered differently. And sadly. Some did not make it out of the fight.

Prayers.

Please allow me to share this information with you. This worked for me. So very. Very. Well. I enjoy visiting certain 24-hour Korean Sauna and Baths near me. While I lived in LA county one location I enjoyed tremendously was in Korea Town. A woman only sauna. Privacy. Relaxation. Steam. Hot and Cold Baths.

Now that I reside in Georgia, I enjoy visiting Gangnam Sauna in Norcross. I have enjoyed their Steam Baths and their Skin Care essentials and products. I walk in with intention and walk out feeling revitalized. Now there are other sauna houses in the area. Including Jeju. However. At times, I really enjoy the solitude. The silence. Gangnam affords me that experience.

Their herbal packets are used in their hot steam rooms. Game changer. Infused with Mugwort. Rosemary. Ginger. Peppermint. Eucalyptus. I want to focus attention on Rosemary. Since recovering, I have personally had a trial with post-nasal drip or a large and rather annoying amount of mucus residue. Once I enter the steam room the effect is immediate. I cannot help but take deep. Long. Breaths. My nasal passages feel like it is opening. Clearing. That thick mucus residue (in my personal experience) has loosened, and I am able to dispel it from my body so much easier. Breathe easier. I will not delve into the tremendous benefits of steam for the skin. Perhaps another time. Focus. Rosemary. Let me share some medicinal benefits I have located online.

(Allow me to paraphrase)

1) Rosemary is in the aromatic plant family – meaning it has properties-almost a diffusive essence allowing for a blossoming expansion of its medicinal effects.

2) Aromatic plants- like rosemary enhances our body’s ability to circulate blood flow. Circulation. Oxygenation. LIFE.

3) Antimicrobial properties- free radical fighters- promoting. Enhancing the tissues of the body to maintain its integrity, function. Fighting infections.

4) Now herbal plants and steam. So. Darn. Steamy. Steam penetrates the mucosa (or excess mucus) it warms it. Loosens it. Keeping our body moist. NOT DRY.

5) So. Steam. Alleviates respiratory congestion- better flow. Breathability. Ah. Restorative. Regenerative.

I had the opportunity to purchase a bag of herbs imported from Korea from Gangnam Sauna in Norcross. Their special was a 2 for 1. So, I purchased one bag and my price was matched and I was provided a second bag. A little goes a long way. I boil these herbs and my apartment smells so darn. Fresh. So good. And I can breathe. Better.

love. you. all.

Be well. Dr. Faith
