Mental Silence
“When thoughts become silent, you have the ability to find peace in its own Source. This is meditation, or mental silence. This is living in the present moment. Here, you are alert, focused but relaxed.”
Always start with gratitude.
The ancient techniques from the practice of Meditation link mental silence to improvements in relationships, psychological and physical health, sleep quality and mood. Interestingly as I’ve began meditating on a daily basis I have remained inspired to continue the daily 30 minute holistic construction of my mind and spirit. I encourage and invite all to experience the intensification of psychological wellness by taking on a 21 Day Meditation challenge. This challenge requires a commitment of 15 minutes of daily meditation and all is encouraged to journal daily about your experiences. Our collective news feed, status updates, emails, linkedin accounts and Netflix of thoughts that run through our heads daily will not shut off during this unique experience. Rather, you may begin to learn how to listen and “observe your thoughts without necessarily answering to it.” –( Roberta Lee, M.D)

Tadasana (tah-DAHS-uh-nuh) — is an active pose that helps improve posture, balance, and calm focus. Its name comes from the Sanskrit words “tada” (meaning “mountain”) and “asana” (meaning “pose”).
Dr. Elizabeth Hoge, a psychiatrist at the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School says that mindfulness meditation makes perfect sense for treating anxiety. In her recent studies she found that mindfulness-based stress reduction programs helped quell anxiety symptoms in people with said symptoms and conditions. Mindfulness Meditation May Ease Anxiety and Stress.
You will learn how to channel the power of reflection rather than reaction. You may start to welcome a sense of serenity and a sense of calm about the global construction of the bustling lifestyle in which we find ourselves. Since taking up meditation with a group of friends we have reflected on the process of our thoughts and in turn the product of such thoughts-our actions, and character. Alas we now view a world where we feel love, feel ourselves giving and receiving love and embracing a perspective on life that concerns healing and seeing a link between being in touch with one’s core self and being functional.

Practice Suyra Namaskar, or Sun Salutations, to pay tribute to the sun, expressing the same reverence for the life-giving solar energy.

I invite you to empower yourselves, take charge of your health and to reflect on whether meditation is the right practice and technique for you.
